17th November 2023 Hiking - Walking: Orwell County Park Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: Thursday 17th November - walk **** – Orwell Country Park near Ipswich - sunny:). Yesterdays rain has disappeared and we had a lovely sunny day so after doing my exercises I packed a picnic and we drove to Orwell Country Park just outside Ipswich. We started off walking down through the lovely woods full of Autumn colours plus a few squirrels whizzing about:) The River Orwell looked beautiful with the sun glistening off the water looking good with the tide pretty high as we turned right and walked towards the bridge. There was a biut of a breeze blowing across the river so we found a sheltered spot behind a large oak enjoying our yummy picnic:) There was a few dog walkers about plus a few yachts out on the water as we continued on turning right up the the small holding with the highlighlight being a couple of pigs asleep in the sun:) Then up by the noisy A 14 and back to the van, really lovely little walk in the winter sunshine. A quick stop at Lidl and home for a cuppa and cake, its looking pretty breezy for the weekend but possibly lots of rain and we are having the Granddaughter, Maeva tomorrow so might try and get out sailing on Sunday?
